50 hrs Yin Yoga Teacher Training Courses
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a beautiful, healing form of yoga that involves passive & longer holds of postures (3-6 minutes long), targeting the fascia and deeper layers of the body.
It is a grounding and meditative practice cultivating stillness, acceptance and deep internal release. The practice of Yin Yoga gently invites us to slow down, tune inward, and reconnect with a sense of balance, calm, and quiet awareness.
The 50 hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training Course covers the following topics:
Yin Yoga Philosophy and History
- Origins and traditions of Yin Yoga
- Yin vs. Yang Yoga
- Introduction: Meridians and Taoist Philosophy
- Sharing circles and journaling
Yin Asana Practice incl. use pf props and target area discussion
- Lower body, upper body, side body asanas
- Restorative postures
- Myofascial release / MyoYin basics
Meditation and Pranayama
- Yin-specific pranayama and meditation practice
- How to integrate pranayama and meditation into a Yin class
- Kirtan mantra chanting and voice opening
Anatomy & Fascia
- The 14/10/7 model by Paul Grilley
- Tension and compression in Yoga asana practice
- Fascia & Myofascial release (ball rolling) fundamentals
- Joints, connective tissue, passive stretching and how they relate to Yin
Teaching Methodology and Teaching Practice
- Verbal guidance in a Yin class incl. Yoga Nidra
- Hands-on adjustments in Yin (trauma-sensitive)
- Yin Yoga class sequencing
- Bhavana (mood) of a Yin class
- Safety and contraindications
Note: Graduates of this course will receive a 50 hrs Yin Yoga Teacher Certificate recognized by Yoga Alliance, which is valid worldwide (Continuing Education Programme - YACEP).
